Ask Question I have a 26 year old Tekelek 288. For some reason if I turn the fan motor speed down the motor overheats and shuts down. On full speed I have no problems. Is this a controller issue or a motor issue? I WOULD HAVE A GUESS AT MOTOR OR CAPACITOR Hi I live in Redding California USA and I have a 220 swamp cooler and it got shorted out last year I believe that I have the tek297 speed control box and I’m wondering if that is replaced with the tek7EC controller? If that is the case does it also require the tek7DT to operate the unit?
